Sister Mary Isabelle Kwiatkowska, C.S.S.F.
Felician Sister Mary Isabelle Kwiatkowska, formerly Josephine Kwiatkowska, died April 13, 2009. She was 91. She was born in Jersey City in 1918. She entered the postulancy of the Felician sisters in 1935 and professed her final vows in 1943. She was a musician and elementary school teacher for several years before moving to Rome as the organist at the Felician sisters generalate. After spending 16 years in Rome, she moved back to New Jersey where she spent most of her time teaching. A funeral Mass was celebrated April 16 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hall, the infirmary chapel. Interment followed in the Felician Sisters Cemetery. She is survived by her sisters, Philomena and Claire; her brother, Father Eugene Kwiatkowski; numerous nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.

Sister Mary Cecilia, I.H.M.
Sister Mary Cecilia, I.H.M., formerly Helene Marie Ashnault, died April 22, 2009, in Paoli Hospital. She was born in New York and entered the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1948. She professed first vows in 1951. She taught elementary school and music in the Diocese of Allentown and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She retired in 2005 to Camilla Hall where her ministry was the apostolate of prayer. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Helen McEachern Ashnault. A funeral Mass was celebrated April 27 at Camilla Hall. Interment followed in the Immaculata Cemetery. She is survived by her sisters, Frances, Dorothy and Judith, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnephews and a grandniece and members of her religious community.

Sister Mary Lawrence Daley, R.S.M.
Sister Mary Lawrence Daley, R.S.M., died May 11, 2009, at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. She was 92. In 1938, she professed her vows as a Sister of Mercy. She was an elementary school teacher and later principal in schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In 1979, she was given the National Catholic Educational Association award for special education. Shortly thereafter, she became the primary supervisor at Mater Misericordiae Convent, Mistress of Juniors Triennium and later local superior at McAuley convent. She ministered to the regional community prior to retiring in 1996. A funeral Mass was celebrated May 13 in the convent chapel. Interment followed in the community cemetery.

Sister Maria Trinitas Miller, S.H.C.J.
Sister Maria Trinitas Miller, S.H.C.J., formerly Mother Maria Trinitas, died April 25, 2009, of heart failure at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was 86. She was born in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, and was adopted by her maternal aunt in Brooklyn, N.Y., shortly after her mother died. In 1948, she entered the Society of the Holy Child and professed final vows in 1956. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Villanova University and shortly thereafter went on to teach in Philadelphia, New York and Portland. She returned to the Philadelphia area and began serving as the medical coordinator at the Holy Child Center in Rosemont. Many in the heath care community lovingly knew her as Sister Trini. In 2007, she retired to Drexel Hill and later to the Holy Child Center for nursing care. A funeral Mass was celebrated April 29 at the New Sharon Chapel. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. She is survived by her sister, Sister Theresa Miller, S.S.J., numerous cousins, nephews and her religious community.
