The Philadelphia Archdiocese today put to rest rumors that schools requesting a review of the Blue Ribbon Commission’s recommendations would need to raise money in order to obtain a meeting.

A statement from the archdiocesan Office for Communications denied any financial component to the review process.

“As outlined earlier in the week,” the statement read, “pastors, elementary school principals and high school presidents seeking an appeal were asked to contact the Office of Catholic Education to request a meeting. Making that request is the only action needed to take part in the appeal process.”

The office issued details of the review process  in a press release Jan. 10
