Could you please do your research into why Mexicans come into this country in the first place? My first husband was from Mexico, plus now I have many friends who are “illegals”. All of these people work hard, obey our laws (yes I know they are “illegally” here but read on…), and are good people who are just like us; they just want to be able to support their families. If they were able to have decent jobs in Mexico, they wouldn’t even come to the USA. Many people who try to cross the border from Mexico end up dying along the borders because of the difficult journey, or else are abused by those who help them cross. Many who work here are also abused; since these people are afraid of being sent back to Mexico, their employers often can overwork them, pay them less, deny them basic rights such as bathroom breaks, etc. Most of the work performed by Mexicans are jobs that few if any of us would even consider doing, such as working to pick crops, construction, etc. All I ask is that you learn more about why Mexicans are coming here. We can do more to try to stop them from coming but because they need the money, they will always try to cross the border. Instead, our country needs to be humanitarian and try to see what we can to help them when they do cross or at least help them in their country so that they won’t cross anymore. The USA helps other countries, but only as our own interests abound. There’s no money to be made for our government if they help Mexican people. Thanks for reading this…
There are laws for immigrants to follow and they must be obeyed. That’s all we want to happen.
