For the sixth consecutive year, the Vikings seized the PIAA District 12 Class AAA title Saturday afternoon at Northeast High School. Although the Vikings said all the politically correct things afterward, this one was a thorough shellacking, a 52-8 victory over Public League champion Martin Luther King, that began immediately after the opening kickoff.

Roman Catholic High School announced Nov. 13 that two seniors and star basketball players, Rashann London and Shep Garner, will sign their letters of intent to attend Division I colleges in the fall. London intends to attend Drexel University and Garner expects to go to Penn State University.

St. Joe’s Prep ends 8-year Catholic League championship drought

The Prep beat five-time defending champion La Salle, 30-20, Nov. 8 to capture the AAAA league title. Prep quarterback Chris Martin threw three touchdowns before leaving the game after the final score with an injury.

West Catholic wins once again

West Catholic Preparatory High School cruised past Neumann Goretti High School, 34-9, to capture the Catholic League AA football title Nov. 2. The Burrs won their eighth straight championship in their class or division.  

Father Judge wins boys soccer championship

In a championship rematch Ryan girls soccer team redeems themselves

The girls Catholic League soccer championship Oct. 27 came down to a historic nailbiter. In the second overtime period, defending champion Archbishop Ryan edged Archbishop Wood, 1-0.  This is the Ragdolls second straight championship.  This was the first time Ryan has beaten Wood since 2008.  To see more images click here.
