God’s mercy for us, and ours for others, leads to love

The experience of being forgiven by the Lord frees us to love, and the mercy we have been given demands that we share mercy. Our call to repentance for our own sins is always a call to grow in love.

Perfect love described by Jesus is same love the Father has for us

The communion that Jesus establishes is profound. He speaks of the union of believers with believers in terms of His being “in” the Father and the Father being “in” Him. The communion is based on love. The love God shares with us and the love we share with one another. Love is the bond of unity.
