Sister Kathleen McPeak, S.S.J., formerly Sister Miriam Therese, died June 4 at the age of 88. Sister Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of John and Margaret Trollan-McPeak.
Sister Kathleen entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from Nativity B.V.M. Parish in Philadelphia on Sept. 12, 1944. She served in the Archdioceses of Philadelphia, Newark, N.J., and Baltimore, Md., and the dioceses of Allentown and Harrisburg.
Sister Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Msgr. John McPeak, Father George McPeak, M.M., James McPeak and her sisters Mary Elizabeth McBride and Peggy Sweeney. She is survived by her brother Harry McPeak, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is also survived by the members of her community, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 11, followed by burial in the community cemetery.
