Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz recently taught 31 children about weather forecasting and weather events including tornadoes and, of course, hurricanes, during a visit to Casa del Carmen in North Philadelphia.

The NBC-10 TV chief meteorologist visited the children, ages 6 to 11, last month at the social services center operated by Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The visit was part of the summer camp offered by Casa’s Out of School Time program, which serves children in distressed city neighborhoods by providing structured and safe settings for children outside of school hours all year long. View video from the visit. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
