Students from De La Salle Vocational, an Archdiocese of Philadelphia day treatment program for at-risk youth, shared their experiences of overcoming poverty, substance abuse and trauma with eighth graders at Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional School in Philadelphia. The Feb. 14 presentations were part of De La Salle’s Peer Council program, which reaches over 600 elementary and secondary school students throughout the Philadelphia area each year.
