Maternity B.V.M. Catholic School in Northeast Philadelphia will hold its second annual walk-a-thon on Friday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The event, which aims to raise $10,000 for a new media center, will be led by members of the Philadelphia Police Department, as well as volunteers on motorcycles. Children in grades pre-K through eight will walk around the school’s campus, which is located at 9322 Old Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia.

During the 2017 inaugural walk, the school raised over $9,000.  Maternity B.V.M. has already begun purchasing items to go towards the updating of its library, as well as creating a new media center space.  The school recently purchased new lights, a camera, and green screen for the school’s weekly news casts which can be viewed on the school website:  https://maternitybvm.net/.
