St. John Chrysostom Parish in Wallingford will mark Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a community concert featuring several area choirs.
Sponsored by the parish’s justice and peace committee, “MLK: A Musical Celebration” will join church ensembles from Chester and Wallingford in a gospel concert on Jan. 20 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the parish, located at 617 S. Providence Road in Wallingford.
The gathering, which is open to all, will combine faith, music and fellowship. Featured choirs include the First Pentecostal Church Voices of Samuel, the Shiloh Baptist Church Mass Choir, the St. Katharine Drexel Gospel Choir, the St. Katharine Drexel Spanish Choir and the St. John Chrysostom Adult Choir.
