Sister Margaret Siegfried, S.S.J. (formerly Sister John Dismas SSJ), died Dec. 11 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown, at age 72.
Daughter of the late John and Bernadette Siegfried, she was born in Bethlehem, Pa. and attended St. Anne Grade School in Bethlehem and Notre Dame High School in Easton, Pa. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in September 1964 and professed her final vows in August 1972.
Sister Margaret ministered in the archdioceses of Newark and Philadelphia.
She is the sister of the late Roy Siegfried and Barbara Bloss. She is survived by her sisters Nancy Ruhf (James), Mary Motley (Henry) and Jane Sparrow. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 18 at St. Joseph Villa.
