Sister Ella Mae Hill, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Michael Andrew), age 86, died March 17 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown.
The daughter of the late William and Ella Hill, Sister Ella Mae attended St. Patrick Grade School and John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School in Philadelphia.
In September 1951 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1959.
She ministered in the Archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark, and the Diocese of Camden.
She is survived by cousins and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was celebrated March 21 at St. Joseph Villa.
Donations may be made in Sister Ella Mae’s name to St. Joseph Villa, 110 Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA.
