St. Joseph’s Parish in Spring City will celebrate a Mass for those seeking healing from addiction.
Father Charles R. O’Hara, pastor of St. Joseph’s, will offer the Mass on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m., followed by a healing blessing.
All are invited to join together that we may draw strength from one another in the power of our faith.
St. Joseph Parish is located at 3640 Schuylkill Road (Rt. 724) in Spring City.
The parish offers the following prayer and Scripture in support of healing from addiction:
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. (Prayer of Pope Leo XIII)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
Help keep Catholic media free, support CatholicPhilly.com
You may have noticed “pay walls” greeting you when you visit the websites of newspapers and magazines, both large and small. These mechanisms allow you to read a few articles for free before you’ve got to pay an annual fee if you want to see more.
You won’t find a pay wall on CatholicPhilly.com because we’re more than a news organization. We’re informing, inspiring and forming readers in the Catholic faith every day through the news, features and commentaries that we post on this site and share across social media.
It costs money to provide high-quality coverage of the local Catholic communities we primarily serve, while also distributing national and world news of interest to Catholics, plus the orthodox teachings of the Catholic faith.
Help us in this mission by making a single gift of $40, $50, $100, or more. Your gift will strengthen the fabric of our entire Catholic community.
