DEVON – When Devon Preparatory School students arrived on campus for the first day of school on Sept. 1, they were greeted by new faculty members and saw campus construction.
Father James J. Shea, Sch.P., headmaster, served as the principal celebrant for opening day Mass and welcomed new faculty including: class of 1994 alumnus Mark A. Aquilante of Norristown, the new athletic director; Lawrence G. Theuer of Malvern, middle school English, upper school English and AP English; Melanie R. Picard of Wayne, seventh grade science, eighth grade science and 10th grade anatomy and physiology; Jeffrey S. Jewitt of Wayne, physical education and health and new varsity soccer coach; and Father Nelson Henao, Sch. P., chaplain and director of campus ministry and religion teacher.
Devon Prep’s campus also underwent some changes this summer with the continuation of the upper school façade renovation project and the creation of a new driveway entrance to the campus from Valley Forge Road.
