DREXEL HILL – Holy Child Academy received a $5,000 grant from the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Memorial Fund to support its continued field house renovations. The grant money will be used to purchase and install new bleachers.
As an anchor in the Upper Darby community, the field house is one of the most utilized areas on Holy Child Academy’s campus. On any given day throughout the year, students, teachers, campers, sports leagues or local residents participate in physical education classes, theatre productions, community blood drives, CYO practices and games.
Equipped with railings and exit aisles, the new bleachers will have the versatility to seat up to 130 spectators.
