Sister Mary Christina, O.P., formerly Mary Heitman, died Jan. 3 at the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne Home in Philadelphia. She was 89.

She was born Sept. 21, 1922 and professed her vows Sept. 14, 1953.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 7. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
