Studio 38, the Drama Department of Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford, will present “Beauty and the Beast” as its spring musical in March 2013.
The preparations for this major production began with student auditions in November. More than 150 students signed up to audition for singing, speaking and featured dancer roles. The combined cast and crew are expected approach 200 students, making it the largest single extracurricular activity at the school. The musical will be directed by Marusia Griffin Lynn.
Performances are scheduled for March 8, 9, 10 and March 14, 15, 16. All performances will be in Pope John Paul II’s 1200-seat theater at the school. Tickets will be available online through the school website (www.pjphs.org) in late February.
