The Miraculous Medal Shrine invites everyone to its Summer Novena of Faith, June 9-17, at 500 East Chelten Ave., in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

The theme is “Our faith: The passion, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.”

Bishop Joseph F. Martino will celebrate the formal closing of the novena with Mass at 12:05 p.m. on June 17.

Throughout the novena  the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary will be prayed, and confessions will be heard 15 minutes before Mass on Mondays (June 10 and 17) and Thursday, June 13.

The schedule for Masses during the novena follows:

Monday, June 10 and 17 (regular novena schedule): 7 and 9 a.m., 12:05, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday to Thursday, June 11-13:  7 and 9 a.m., 12:05 and 7 p.m.; Friday, June 14: 7 and 9 a.m., 12:05 and 5 p.m.; Saturday, June 15: 9 a.m., 12:05 and 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 16: 9 a.m. and 12:05 p.m.

The anointing of the sick will be celebrated Saturday, June 15 and a special blessing for families will be offered on Sunday, June 16.
