West Catholic Preparatory High School at 4501 Chestnut St. hosted Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter Oct. 3 during a student leadership assembly. The mayor addressed the student body on the topic of leadership and helped hand out pins to West Catholic’s newly installed student leaders after they made their pledge to leadership.
In addition, Bishop Michael Fitzgerald and Carol Cary, superintendent for secondary schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, also attended the event. Mayor Nutter and Cary took a tour of the school following the event.
