Mater Dei Catholic School, Lansdale, will honor and pray for all U.S. military veterans during a school assembly Nov. 11.
The school represents the parishes of St. Maria Goretti in Hatfield, St. Rose of Lima in North Wales and St. Stanislaus in Lansdale, and their surrounding communities.
All are welcome to attend a prayer liturgy at 10:15 a.m. in the Mater Dei gymnasium followed by a wreath-laying ceremony in the St. Stanislaus Parish Cemetery. After the service, all veterans and their family members are invited to enjoy a “Hoagies for Heroes” lunch. Veterans are asked to assemble in the school lobby between 10 and 10:15 a.m. for the procession.
This year the focus of the assembly will be on the “Rights and Freedoms of Americans.”
