Seminarians from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary are warming up to run in the Philadelphia Marathon and Half-Marathon races Sunday, Nov. 17, and are asking for help from friends.
About 20 members of the “Race for Seminarians” team are running to raise financial support and awareness for the mission of the seminary and priestly vocations.

Seminarian and Deacon Chris Christensen brought together the first team of priests, seminarians and lay people ever to participate in the marathon.
St. Charles Seminary has served as the leading institution in the formation of men for the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and dioceses throughout the country for more than 180 years. This year approximately 150 young men have answered God’s call to attend the seminary to be formed after the heart of Jesus Christ.
