The four major Catholic shrines in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia invite everyone to join in a Holy Hour of prayer for the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families in the city in 2015.
The Holy Hour will be prayed Tuesday, March 25 from noon to 1 p.m. at the following shrines: St. Katharine Drexel in Bensalem; St. John Neumann in Philadelphia; St. Rita of Cascia in South Philadelphia; and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in the city’s Germantown section.
A delegation headed by Archbishop Charles Chaput and including Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and business leaders will meet with Pope Francis March 26 and invite him to Philadelphia.
People at all the shrines will pray for this intention, and all invited to join in the prayers wherever they are.
