The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Charities Appeal is partnering again this year with the Philadelphia 76ers for “Catholic Charities Night” at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets for the 7 p.m. game against the Utah Jazz are on sale now, and prices range from $27 to $42 per ticket. Catholic Charities will receive on-court recognition as part of the Sixers’ “Non-Profit of the Night Awareness Series” and Ashley McElveen-Clark, assistant director for Catholic Social Services’ DePaul Out-of-School-Time Program, will receive the “Heroes Among Us” Award. She leads monthly social events that give middle school children a safe place to socialize under the supervision of caring adults.

“Her devotion to the youth with whom she works is a rare quality to find and it makes her an integral part of our organization,” said James Amato of Catholic Social Services.

A promotional video featuring Catholic Charities will run at the start of the game and students from Our Lady of Confidence Day School will participate in the pre-game and half-time on-court high five tunnel.

Seating will be located in the Mezzanine Level Corners (Rows 4-7) at $27 per ticket and in the Lower Level Corners (Rows 18-26) at $42 per ticket. Groups of 10 or more should contact Caroline Kasper at 215-558-2758 or carolinekasper@sixers.com.

Every year, the Catholic Charities Appeal feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more than 200,000 people across the Philadelphia region regardless of their faith. Care is provided for the homeless, the elderly, disadvantaged youth and the developmentally delayed through more than 80 social service programs that build up the dignity of those served.
