Archbishop Edward Adams led the celebration of the Lord’s passion on Good Friday afternoon, April 3, at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. Archbishop Adams is the Vatican apostolic nuncio, akin to an ambassador, to Greece and originally a Philadelphia priest. Archbishop Charles Chaput, priests, deacons and faithful from across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia prayed in commemoration of the crucifixion and death of Jesus, which included solemn veneration of the cross.
