The second annual Abbey Faith and Music Fest drew hundreds of youths and their families Sept. 19 to the grounds of Daylesford Abbey in Paoli for a day and night of high-energy music, food, fun, reflection and a sharing of Catholic faith. Seven musical acts, topped by popular Christian artists Matt Maher, Sara Groves and Brandon Heath, led a line up that included inspirational speakers. Young people also had time to explore the abbey grounds, take tours, and have fun with other youths. The day also offered opportunities for the sacrament of penance, plus a moving benediction of the Blessed Sacrament by candlelight. (Photos by Sarah Webb)

The Abbey Fest is a truly moving and spiritual event. Eucharistic Adoration under the stars with hundreds of people holding candles to powerful worship music was an unforgettable event that brought me close to Jesus. The sight of young people streaming to the bishop for a blessing because they are considering a calling to the priesthood or religious vocation was inspiring. The young are indeed the future of the Church; and all of us right now are the present, pushing forward with His help to announce the great news about Jesus and our Catholic faith. Abbey Fest and all the families, present illustrate this.
