St. Norbert Parish, Paoli, will host a free program for parents and teenagers on Internet pornography, “sexting” and other issues of sexuality and chastity on Thursday, Dec. 10.
While teens enjoy a pizza party at 6 p.m., parents will hear popular speaker Jason Evert present “Parenting for Purity” until 7:15, exploring sexuality in the media and its effect on young people. He will offer communication techniques, resources, statistics and a wealth of information to assist parents in their task as the primary sex educators of their children.
At 7:30 p.m. Evert will talk with teens on the topic “Love or Lust?” He will share God’s plan for human sexuality and present an uplifting case for practicing the virtue of chastity.
By addressing the issues that teens struggle with most, such as sexual pressure, pornography, modesty and starting over, Evert will offer encouragement for teens to maintain their purity or begin again if they’ve made mistakes in the past.
Following at 8:45, the band FireHill will perform as the evening ends with music and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, ending with benediction.
