Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Warminster will explore the current practice and interesting history of Ash Wednesday in the Catholic Church, plus the practice of some Christian denominations, on the day on which Lent begins, Wednesday, Feb. 10.
The program runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be led by presenter Charles Scally, a longtime Nativity parishioner and head of the parish’s Catholics Returning Home Ministry.
Msgr. William J.J. O’Donnell will celebrate Mass at 1 p.m. with the distribution of ashes.
The Nativity of Our Lord Conference Center is located at the rear of Nativity Church, 605 West Street Road in Warminster.
Registration for the event is encouraged. Refreshments are provided for participants’ own brown bag lunch. Cost is $20 per person, payable at the conference center.
