Philadelphia police officers gathered with clergy and members of the community for prayers the evening of June 16 in parks located in every police district in the city. The police department and clergy leaders planned the gatherings as a way to improve police relations in the communities.
In the 26th District in the Port Richmond/Kensington area, Captain George Kappe gathered with clergy from several local churches and residents at Fairhill Square Park at 4th Street and Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
