Young adult Catholics from St. John the Evangelist Parish (the “Jack’s YACs” group) gathered in their center city Philadelphia church Saturday night, July 9 to pray for peace. The attendees and the Capuchin Franciscan friars, led by Father Tom Betz, not only lit candles, sang songs and prayed in the church but they also went out into the streets to light the night by inviting Saturday night passersby to join in prayer and light a candle in the church.
