Young adults are invited to join a fun and faithful bike ride — the Tour de Shrine — in which riders will visit three Catholic shrines in Philadelphia on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The ride will begin at the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia in South Philadelphia at 8:45 a.m. with confessions, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a tour of the shrine.
It continues for a 25-minute trip, less than four miles, to the National Shrine of St. John Neumann in Northern Liberties for a tour and refreshments.

After a 45-minute ride (about seven miles) to the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Germantown, riders will gather for Mass, a tour of the shrine and a brown bag lunch in the adjoining courtyard of St. Vincent’s Seminary.
A one-hour ride of 10 miles on the Schuylkill River Trail will end back at St. Rita’s by 3 p.m.
Riders are encouraged to invite their friends.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the website of the Miraculous Medal Shrine. Registrations are requested by Sept. 1. Rain date is Oct. 8.

I think your “Pedal to the [Miraculous] Medal” idea is FABULOUS! What a fun way to explore the Shrines, Philadelphia and to ‘take a ride with the Saints and Mary!’ Thank you for always seeming to come up with something special to bring attention to what our faith has to offer…especially here in Philadelphia!
