It takes courage to be fully human, embrace the complications of our lives, and live in the radical virtue of hope. Come for a day of quiet reflection, conversation and encouragement. Explore what it means to “Take Heart”, and move through the deepening dark of December with hope and faith, like the poet Tagore’s bird, who “feels the Light and sings in the dark before dawn.” Enter fully into this Season of Hope as we await the birth of the Light.

Drawing from the depths of Celtic Spirituality, the author John Phillip Newell urges us to “listen to the heartbeat of God.”
During this Advent day we will pray and ponder the mystery of the Incarnation. With Celtic wisdom as our guide, we will immerse ourselves in listening for God’s heartbeat throughout this tender season.

Epiphany Journey: An Art-Journaling Retreat
Presenter: Marianne Hieb, RSM
Saturday, January 21, 2017, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: $45 (includes lunch and creative journalism materials) Join us for a day of prayer during which we seek ways that the story of the Magi offers parables for our creative spiritual journey. Using aspects of their quest as our focus, we probe insights into our personal and communal movement through the “Epiphany Cycle.” Input and led art-journaling and meditations invite us to consider the spirituality of: gazing into the darkness; setting out on a journey; following the star; and offering our gifts.
