The choir of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Philadelphia, will present a candlelight concert on Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 7 to 8 p.m. celebrating the mystery of the Advent season and the joy of Christmas.
It will feature pieces by Vaughn-Williams, Victoria, Franck, Garau and others, as well as a carol sing-along.
The concert by the renowned choir in the grand St. Francis de Sales Church, located at 4625 Springfield Avenue in the Philadelphia’s University City section, will end with a reception in the parish hall featuring desserts and hot chocolate.
Admission to the concert is free but free-will donations are encouraged. Proceeds will go toward LED conversion of the church’s lighting fixtures and other restoration projects.
