Event Description

All Young Adults are encouraged to attend the yearly retreat at Malvern with Fr Anthony Hangholt. This year’s theme is Created for Joy.

 

We all have a desire for happiness – a desire that is deeply rooted in our hearts. As disciples of Christ we are called to joy! It is by encountering Christ the healer that we are made whole and are enabled to find true happiness and lasting joy. Pope Francis, when speaking of Jesus, once said “he is passing by, and he halts … Jesus’

closeness to us makes us see that when we are far from him there is something important missing from our lives. His presence makes us feel in need of salvation, and this begins the healing of our heart.”

Join us as we reflect on encounters of Jesus’ healing grace in the scriptures and discover Jesus’ healing presence in our lives.
