Traveling to Conshohocken normally would mean a road trip for Pope John Paul II High School, but the Royersford-based Catholic school traveled across Montgomery County for its Sept. 28 home game against Phoenixville High School.
The alumni of the “legacy” schools that over time consolidated and became Pope John Paul II in 2010, including St. Matthew, Archbishop Kennedy, Bishop Kenrick and Kennedy-Kenrick High Schools, were invited to the Conshohocken “A” Field where home games of the former schools had been played. The flags of all the legacy schools were displayed along with the PJP flag as old friends renewed acquaintances and swapped stories of their playing days.
PJP improved to 6-0 on the season with a come-from-behind touchdown in overtime to beat Phoenixville. (Photos by Sarah Webb)

Why did you not include St PIUS X High School Pottstown as one of the schools that were consolidated to form PJP High School? SAD!!
