Event Name
Acts of the Apostles: A Missionary Manual Series
Event Location
Mother Boniface Spirituality Center, 3501 Solly Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136
Date and Time:
April 5, 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Event Description
The Acts of the Apostles is traditionally read during the Easter season because it helps the church prepare for the feast of Pentecost.
What happened after Easter? How did the first Christians meet the challenge of preaching the Gospel to both the Jews and the Gentiles? They were “clothed with the Holy Spirit!” Let us see how their experiences can teach us to be “missionary disciples” today.
The series’ presenter, Sister Sara Butler, M.S.B.T., has been a seminary professor of theology and is a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization.
A free-will offering will be accepted. To register, call 267-350-1830 or 267-350-1831 or email mbcretreat@msbt.org at least one day prior to the program.
