The #MeToo movement raises important questions about the rights and dignity of women, and about human sexuality as a whole.
But these questions are far from new: fifty years ago, Pope Paul VI predicted that artificial contraception would lead to an overall devaluation of women.
Producer Gina Christian asks Steve Bozza, director of the Philadelphia archdiocese’s Office for Life and Family, for his take on Pope Paul VI’s prophecy, which was detailed in the landmark encyclical, “Humanae Vitae (Of Human Life).”
The document will be the focus of an upcoming conference hosted by the Office for Life on Family on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. For more information, including registration details, visit the conference webpage.
