The Archdiocese of Philadelphia marked Hispanic Heritage Month with the celebration of its 13th annual Hispanic Heritage Mass, celebrated Oct. 6 at St. Peter the Apostle Church in North Philadelphia. Auxiliary Bishop Edward Deliman was the main celebrant and homilist.
Hundreds of area Latino Catholics — many dressed in traditional costume — attended the Mass, which was preceded by a formation retreat led by Redemptorist Father Reverend Bruce Lewandowski. Liturgical composers Damaris Thillet and Angel Correa also led a session on the new edition of the Roman Missal.
