Hundreds of pilgrims from a number of area parishes processed on foot to the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul on Dec. 11 to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe on the eve of her feast.
Our Lady of Guadalupe is patroness of the Americas, unborn children, and the New Evangelization.
Auxiliary Bishop Edward M. Deliman, who oversees ministry to the Hispanic Catholic community, was the principal celebrant and homilist at the Mass.
At the end of the liturgy, Bishop Deliman offered a special blessing to all migrants and refugees in solidarity with Share the Journey campaign initiated by Pope Francis in 2017.
