Students at St. Gabriel’s Hall in Audubon harnessed the energy of light — and the power of teamwork — to build model-sized solar cars as part of a mentoring project with PJM, a major electricity distributor.
Operated by Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, St. Gabriel’s provides residential and educational support for more than 140 at-risk youth.
The teens showed off their cars at a December 2018 competition — and thanks to hard work and persistence, everybody won.
