40 Days for Life, an international pro-life movement, will hold a March 6 vigil at the Philadelphia Women’s Center to pray for an end to abortion.
The vigil will begin at 8 a.m. as part of the organization’s annual 40-day campaign that includes prayer, fasting and peaceful community outreach. The campaign, designed to coincide with Lent, is inspired by the biblical 40-day periods during which God transformed individuals, such as Noah and Moses, as well as the disciples after Christ’s resurrection.
The Philadelphia Women’s Center is located at 777 Appletree Street in Philadelphia. For more information about the vigil, visit https://40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/philadelphia-appletree/.
Regular hours for the vigils throughout the area are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
