Peter J. Colosi

A former professor of moral theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary has organized an international conference June 28-30 in the Netherlands on Theology of the Body, the teaching by St. John Paul II on God’s plan for human sexuality.

Peter J. Colosi along with three other Catholic thinkers has put together four previous such gatherings in Austria, Ireland, England and Portugal. He currently teaches philosophy at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, and from 2009 to 2015 he was a professor of moral theology at St. Charles.

The fifth symposium titled “Defending and Promoting Human Dignity in a Secular Age” will be held at Rolduc Abbey, Kerkrade, Netherlands. Colosi is one of 11 international speakers.

It will welcome from around the world Catholics interested in, as the event’s website states, “healing the current cultural situation of the church and humanity with respect to sexuality, marriage, the family, education and human happiness by exploring ever deeper the goodness, truth and beauty of the divine plan for human life and love.”
