Event Description
Please join us for our third annual solemn high Mass at the Cathedral Basilica according to Divine Worship: the form of liturgy used by the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. This year’s event will celebrate John Henry Newman, two days after his canonization in Rome.
Our choir will sing a polyphonic setting of the Mass (Harold Darke’s Communion in F), and Schola Cantorum Philadelphiensis will sing the minor Propers in plainchant.
The celebrant and homilist will be the Very Reverend Timothy Perkins, Vicar General of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.
There will be a reception after Mass next door in the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (“the Twos”).
All are welcome!
