The Sisters of Life will host a celebration in honor of Cardinal John O’Connor, the late Archbishop of New York and the founder of the order, on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
Auxiliary Bishop John McIntyre will celebrate Mass Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. A holy hour will precede the Mass starting at 6 p.m., and all are welcome to a reception immediately following in the cathedral’s Drexel Hall.
Cardinal O’Connor, a native of Southwest Philadelphia who died in 2000, founded the Sisters of Life in 1991 with the intention of protecting and promoting the sacredness of every human life, especially the most vulnerable.
