Students at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer (MMR) School in North Wales are enjoying some extra space as they return to classes this month.

Twice named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, MMR unveiled a new “West Wing” just in time for the start of the 2020-21 academic year.

The structure bridges two formerly separate buildings, enabling students to travel with ease between classrooms. In addition, MMR installed a new state-of-the-art security system to enhance students’ safety.

The project was initiated last fall as part of an effort to make the parish and school campus more welcoming to community members.

After a very successful capital campaign, MMR broke ground on the new classroom wing this spring, and persisted despite multiple setbacks due fluctuating COVID restrictions.

MMR pastor Msgr. John Conway expressed his gratitude for the support both the parish and school communities provided to the project.
