Join in this summer’s Cranaleith book circle focused on “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents,” the latest book from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson. The book circle meets online July 6, 13 and 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
This spirited, thought-provoking exploration will consider themes and insights particularly as they pertain to our individual and collective spiritual lives and the critical concern of racism.
In each of the three 90-minute conversations facilitated by Ty Barnes and Maureen O’Connell, we will cultivate consciousness around language, like the term “caste” itself; reflect on and share in small and large group settings of our own experiences with the American caste system; and develop skills and dispositions for anti-racism work as people of faith.
