Saint Luke Productions presents the multimedia stage play “Tolton: From Slave to Priest” in two evening performances in Philadelphia this February.
St. Timothy Church at 3001 Levick Street in Mayfair will host on Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. and Our Mother of Consolation Church at 9 East Chestnut Hill Avenue in Chestnut Hill will host on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
The original one-man live drama will be performed by actor Jim Coleman and is suitable for ages 10 and up. Learn more at ToltonDrama.com.

Servant of God Father Augustus Tolton is the first Black Catholic priest in the United States, serving in Chicago until his death in 1897. His cause for sainthood in the Catholic Church is currently underway.
Bishop Joseph Perry of Chicago, postulator for Father Tolton’s canonization cause, is calling “Tolton” a production that will “inspire a new era of peace, hope and forgiveness in America.”
