St. Peter Parish in West Brandywine will present “Clarity in a Confused World: A Forum on the Transgender Phenomenon Influencing Our Culture.”

Sponsored by the parish’s Respect Life committee, the daylong gathering will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4:45 p.m.

Featured speakers include Mary Rice Hasson, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center; Samantha Kelly, founder of FIERCE Athlete; Father Chris Rogers, chaplain of the archdiocesan area Courage and EnCourage apostolates; Andrew Sodergren, director of psychological services for Ruah Woods; Jeremey Samek, senior counsel of the Independence Law Center; Maria Keffler, author of “Desist, Detrans & Detox”; and Erin Brewer, author of “Always Erin” and presenter of “I Was a Trans Kid.”

Parents, educators, clergy and youth ministers are encouraged to attend, as are legal, medical and mental health professionals.

Presentations and discussions will explore a range of related topics on the issue, including the sharp increase in transgender diagnoses, the understanding of gender dysphoria, the medical implications of transgender surgeries and hormone therapies, and the role of government and schools.

The cost is $20 per person and $30 per couple, with the fee waived for clergy and religious.
