Archbishop Pérez released a video on his social media platforms July 19 inviting faithful from throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to participate in the Archdiocesan Eucharistic Congress this fall.
The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown.

“Please join me at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa for a day long celebration of Christ’s true presence in the Eucharist,” he says. You can watch the full video below.
Archbishop Pérez will serve as the principal celebrant at the opening Mass. Bishop Michael Burbidge, the current Bishop of Arlington and a previously and Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, will serve as the homilist at the opening Mass and as the keynote speaker.
Mrs. Antonia Acutis, mother of Blessed Carlo Acutis, will be in attendance to speak about personal devotion to Christ in the Eucharist and her son’s compelling story.
Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, and multiple speakers tracks for various age groups in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language will also be available. Liturgical music will be provided by the Eucharistic Congress Choir, featuring performers from 33 parishes and schools.
This initiative is part of the three-year National Eucharistic Revival called for by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
