Sister Ellen P. Casey, SSJ, (formerly Sister Joan Andrew SSJ}, age 81, died June 23, 2023, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late John and Catherine Casey, she attended St. Andrew Grade School and Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, New Jersey.

In September 1959 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1967. Sister Ellen ministered in the Dioceses of Newark and Philadelphia.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Shawn Casey and sisters, Sister Mary Agnes Casey SSJ, and Joan Casey. She is survived by her brother Andrew and nieces, nephews, and members of her congregation, The
Sisters of Saint Joseph.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 10:30 AM. at Saint Joseph Villa. Services will also be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website, www.stjosephvilla.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
