Mercy Hospice, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will mark National Recovery Month by hosting its 4th annual recovery walk on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The walk is in support of those in recovery from substance abuse addictions and in remembrance of those loved and lost to addiction.
The evening will start with a prayer service led by Bishop John J. McIntyre followed by a walk through Philadelphia’s Washington Square West neighborhood. The walk will conclude at CSS’s Women of Hope located on Lombard Street with a light dinner. All are invited to attend.
Mercy Hospice, part of the Housing and Homeless Services Division of CSS, is a residential program in Philadelphia offering stability and hope to single women and mothers with children experiencing homelessness and in recovery from substance abuse.
